Taller Salud is a non-profit organization that focuses on the empowerment of girls and women in Puerto Rico. Founded in 1979, Taller Salud is based in Loíza, a low-income coastal city east of San Juan. Since Hurricane María, Taller Salud has expanded into a sort of relief brigade, offering to those in need everything from food to medicine and hygiene products to plastic tarps. .
